My Brand
There is no point in commissioning custom furniture unless you end up with exactly what you want. Some customers begin with a picture torn from a magazine, others a mere notion of how they would like a room to feel. We will work together to design your piece, and go through as many drawings, models, and revisions as necessary to produce a design you will be excited to have in your home. This includes picking the woods and finishes that suit your desires.
I will not deliver a piece of furniture unless I am proud to have it bear my name.

This custom dining room table, made from native Texas mesquite, seats up to 10 comfortably. Initially, I constructed several scale models, allowing the clients to fine tune their preferences for the trestle design and overall look. Though it has a rustic feel, the wildly varying tones and grain patterns of the mesquite transform it into a work of art.

Longleaf pine timbers, reclaimed from a warehouse in Galveston when it was demolished, were used for this 9-foot dining table. I turned numerous sample legs on the lathe before the clients settled on this design, which gracefully carries the table's clean lines and accentuates the wood's straight, clear grain.

This pair of standup desks was commissioned by two separate clients who wanted graceful desks compatible with modern electronics. Constructed of soft maple with purpleheart accents, they feature leather writing surfaces and brass foot rails. Each has a small shelf and a spacious drawer. A recessed niche under the top hides a power strip for easy use with laptops and phone chargers.

For many clients, finding the right table becomes the most frustrating step in finishing a room. There are billions of tables out there, but the standard sizes, styles and materials seldom yield a perfect match for a given room. Here are two examples of customers who had very specific visions. The round coffee table is quilted maple with simple turned legs. The breakfast nook table is ebonized maple with legs tapered on the inner surfaces for a delicate feel.

This bathroom vanity began with one slightly fuzzy photo of an antique painted sideboard that, while too large, captured the style and essence of what the client wanted. After fiddling with the proportions, building models, and experimenting with details, we found the perfect styling for her bathroom. An Austin custom painting shop did the finishing.

This bench and table set was designed to fill an awkward space, and complete the connection between the clients' kitchen and family room. The tabletop and bench seats are stained quartersawn white oak. The painted components match the kitchen cabinets. The design had to allow for easy access to the bench (it has storage under the seats), room for extra chairs at the table when needed, and harmonize with the home’s existing décor.
